| The grade II listed building had fallen into a state of disrepair before 2005, when it was purchased and converted into a modern apartment complex.  However, it still maintains its original features and is a magnificent landmark in Sandiacre’s landscape. We were asked to re-decorate the external shutter doors which cover the large, victorian windows on the stairwells, as well as the external doors; dustbin stores and pagodas; electronic gates and louvre doors on service rooms. High level works required use of a powered access lift – a boom – which was operated by one of our certified IPAF Operatives. The window shutters and all other external woodwork were painted in a lovely Hollybush Green undercoat and gloss paint; the pagodas were re-coated in oak woodstain to match the existing shade, and the gates were painted in steel and cladding paint to protect the metalwork. Our customer was extremely happy with the completed decorations, and we are proud to have been associated with such an interesting and historical part of Sandiacre’s past-times.   |
